Roller Shutters and Blinds
Stop the sun outside the glass. Insulated aluminium slats in a visible or fully concealed box, manual, motorised or solar-powered.
Control the Sun, Close Up the House
From a simple visible box to a fully concealed, motorised installation.
Visible Roller Shutters
The box is mounted on the face of the wall above the opening. The straightforward retrofit option when there is no recess to build into.
Built-In Roller Shutters
The box is concealed within the lintel or behind the plaster line, leaving nothing visible from inside or out except the guide rails.
Aluminium Slat Shutters
Roll-formed aluminium slats filled with insulating foam — light to operate, quiet, and far more rigid than a hollow slat.
Motorised Shutters
Tubular motors operated from a wall switch, remote or timer, with the option to group several shutters onto one command.
Solar-Powered
A small photovoltaic panel and battery drive the motor, which removes the need to chase cabling into a finished wall.
Security Shutters
Heavier slats, reinforced guide rails and locking end-slats for ground-floor openings, shopfronts and holiday properties left empty.
What a Shutter Actually Does
Shading, security and insulation from a single component.
Heat and Light Control
Stopping sunlight outside the glass is far more effective than blocking it inside. A closed shutter cuts solar gain dramatically during a Cyprus summer afternoon.
Security When You Are Away
A closed and locked shutter removes the glass as an easy point of entry, and makes an empty property look occupied and closed rather than abandoned.
Noise Reduction
The air gap between shutter and glass, plus the mass of the slats, noticeably reduces traffic and street noise in bedrooms.
Automation
Timers and sun sensors can close shutters before the afternoon heat arrives and open them again in the morning, without anyone touching a switch.
Fitted to the Opening You Have
Shutters are unforgiving of a badly sized box or guide rail: too tight and they bind, too loose and they rattle. We measure on site and build to that measurement.
Where an opening is being renovated rather than newly built, we will tell you honestly whether a built-in box is realistic or whether a visible box is the better answer.
